A WEE COUNTY man has died following a car crash yesterday, police have confirmed.
Andrew Black, from Tullibody, died in hospital after his vehicle left the road in Bannockburn last night.
The 57-year-old was the driver and sole occupant of the Black Vauxhall Astra involved.
Emergency services were called out to the scene on the A9 Bannockburn Road at its junction with Braehead Road at around 10pm.
Mr Black was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital but, despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead a short time later.
His next of kin are aware and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Sergeant David Marr, of the Forth Valley Road Policing Unit, said: "Our thoughts are with Mr Black's family and friends at this time.
"We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances which led to this collision. Anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have dashcam footage is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident 3813 of 3 August."
