A CITY restaurant has shut its doors for good citing the coronavirus pandemic as the reason.
The Gloss Canteen, which served Vegan food out of Civic House on Civic Street, said that they aren't in a position to open back up.

In a statement, the restaurant added: "We are sorry to announce that Gloss Canteen will not be reopening - the pandemic has hit us hard and so we aren’t in a position to open back up.
"We want to say thanks to everyone who worked with us, ate with us, came to our workshops, played music for us, danced with us, thanks to those at Civic House, thanks to everyone who hired us for catering - we can’t wait to see and feed you all somewhere else soon.
"We are also without jobs or plans so if anyone has or knows of any ideas or opportunities please get in touch with us."
The restaurant is one of many to close in the city in recent weeks. We previously told how Merchant City's Ingram Wynd and Esca were closing for good.
