A TULLIBODY woman has not been able to sleep properly since vandals targeted her car last week.

Karen Brown's Peugeot was damaged by mindless vandals sometime after 11pm last Wednesday, August 5.

In what is thought to have been a matter of just minutes, the vandals smashed the windscreen, side windows, slashed all but one of the tyres, ruined the paintwork and put dents all over the bodywork.

Karen, a mother of two boys and a carer for her aunt, told the Advertiser: "I don't understand why my car was targeted; I've never done anything to anyone in my life, and I stay on my own with my two children.

"It's just really sad and quite scary," she added. "[It] took my independence and my safety in one fell swoop – I've not slept properly since."

Police are investigating the incident and have appealed for information.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Around 11.30pm on Wednesday, August 5, officers were called to the Dovecot Road area of Tullibody, following a report of vandalism to a Peugeot 106.

"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting incident 3959 of August 5.

"Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
