A PROJECT aiming to improve accessibility and transport links in Kincardine has launched its second engagement platform for residents.

The Kincardine Places for Everyone project has launched the second of three consultations over plans to improve connections and networks in the town.

Feedback is currently sought with the second consultation platform sharing plans and illustrations on the North Approach Road.

The project was originally identified as part of the Go Forth Kincardine Charrette in 2017 with the Coalfields Regeneration Trust (CRT), headquartered in the town, working with design teams and landscape architects to bring it about.

As previously highlighted, the project focuses on identifying key missing links in the town's transport network.

It has also been looking at upgrading the main junction in the town centre, improvements on the A876 and the High Street as well as priority for pedestrians and cyclists in certain parts of Kincardine.

Nicky Wilson, chair of the CRT trustees in Scotland, said: "Improving accessibility to the town is a priority identified during the Go Forth Kincardine Charrette in 2017 and we're pleased that so many people visited the first virtual engagement platform."
