THE Wee County has been hit with yet another weather warning for heavy rain which is set to hit the area tomorrow [Tuesday, August 19].

Following severe weather which has resulted in flooding in recent weeks, the majority of Scotland is once again going to get lashed with torrential rain tomorrow with the Met Office warning that it could result in more flooding.

The rain is expected to begin around 1pm and last until 9pm with disruption to train and bus services a possibility.

Urging caution on the roads, the Met Office warning said: “There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings along with fast flowing or deep floodwater. Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.

“There is a slight chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses. There is a small chance that some communities become cut off by flooded roads.”

It comes after the Wee County was hit with severe flooding in parts a fortnight ago before a huge electrical thunderstorm battered the area last Tuesday, resulting in many delays and cancellations to train services.
