A WEATHER warning has been put in place for the Wee County this weekend amid the threat of severe flooding.

Much of the east coast of the UK is set to be battered with torrential rain for the entire weekend with Clackmannanshire subject to a yellow weather warning for Saturday and Sunday.

The Met Office has warned that the weather could lead to flooding with road closures and public transport likely to be affected.

Where fast flowing or deep floodwater occurs, the Met Office has warned there could be a risk to life and power cuts to homes and businesses.

Much of Clackmannanshire was badly affected by flooding back in August when homes and businesses were hit hard. A number of roads were shut while flood groups and emergency services handled the "significant flooding".
