SPURS remain confident of reaching an agreement with Swansea City's highly rated defender Joe Rodon.

Jose Mourinho's side showed interest in signing the Wales international late on Monday evening and Spurs were reported to have out in an initial bid of £18 million.

Rodon made 21 league appearances for Steve Cooper’s side last term, and has already featured this season for Swansea, as they look to build on some strong performances in last year’s league campaign.

LIVERPOOL forward Liam Millar is wanted by Millwall.

The youngster is expected to leave Anfield on loan to the Football League before the transfer deadline on October 16.

The 21-year-old had also been linked with Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City but Millwall are confident they can see off interest from elsewhere to boost their attacking options.

The Canada international moved to England when he was 13 and initially linked up with the academy at Fulham. He then moved to Liverpool in July 2016.

Millar has since become a regular for the Reds’ Under-23’s and was handed his first and only first-team appearance for the current Premier League champions in February in an FA Cup tie against Shrewsbury Town.

Sunderland are in talks to beat Hull City and Huddersfield Town to the signing of Leeds United midfielder Robbie Gotts, according to the Northern Echo.

The 20-year-old is a technically gifted midfielder who can also fill in at full-back, has admirers at Hull and Swindon Town.

Huddersfield coach Carlos Corberan is also hoping for a favour from his old mentor Marcelo Bielsa.

But Sunderland, who have already pulled off a series of impressive bargain signings in recent months - including the return of Danny Graham following his release from Blackburn Rovers - are leading the race, having opened talks over a deal that would see Gotts swap Elland Road for the Stadium of Light on loan.

The 23-year-old is keen to leave the Terriers and move to The Hawthorns.
