PARENTS and carers whose children receive free school meals will receive financial support during the October break.
The fortnight long October school holiday begins on Monday, October 12 and families who receive a clothing grant will receive a payment of £23 for each child.
Payment will be made by Saturday, October 10.
Education spokesperson Cllr Graham Lindsay said: “It is a priority for the Council to make sure that the children who are most in need have access to food during this period. The October free school meals payment offers flexibility for families during this difficult time.”
