NICOLA Sturgeon and Janey Godley have teamed up to record a “Frank, get the door!” sketch for charity.
The comedian’s voice-overs of the First Minister’s briefings have been a social media hit throughout the pandemic, racking up hundreds of thousands of hits.
The pair worked together to produce a new sketch for STV’s Children Appeal, which is being broadcast tonight.
In the one-off skit the First Minister will address the nation calling for support for the appeal – but Godley’s voice will be dubbed over the top.
The comedian, who addressed crowds at last year’s National rally for independence, will be heard saying: “At the end of the day, we’re trying to make some money for the weans – the wee yins need a wee haun oot.

“So if you’ve got a bit of spare cash – maybe Big Jeanette’s tanned the Pippa Dee and Stevie’s managed tae scam aff the menage – just get the money in tae the STV Children’s Appeal.”
The "First Minister" will then sign off the message with the famous “Frank, get the door!” catchphrase.
The appeal raises cash for vulnerable children and young people across Scotland and will be shown on STV from 8.30pm.

Presenter Lorraine Kelly will host the show tonight, which features a musical performance from Biffy Clyro and stories from “community heroes” across Scotland.
The programme will show a series of films exploring the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on mental health, food and fuel poverty, as well as the digital divide. It will show how the Children’s Appeal has helped to support children hardest hit by the crisis.
