CONTACT tracing is being carried out at Strathdevon ELC (Nursery) in Dollar after an individual tested positive for coronavirus.

Making the announcement yesterday, Clackmannanshire Council said: “Initial information suggests the virus was contracted outside of the ELC and there is no evidence at this stage of any transmission within the premises.

“The individual who has tested positive for the virus is self-isolating at home along with the rest of their household.

“To respect and maintain patient confidentiality, no further details will be given.

“Close contacts of the individual have been identified and advised to self-isolate at home in line with national guidance.

“Robust control measures were already in place in Strathdevon to protect the health of pupils and staff.”

A letter from NHS Forth Valley sent to parents and carers said: "All close contacts are being advised to self-isolate as a precaution and being given appropriate advice and support.

"The school will work with parents and carers to minimise the disruption to learning for those pupils who need to self-isolate.

"There is currently no evidence of transmission within the school itself."
