A WEE COUNTY company has been helping hospitals down south adapt as they deal with the Coronavirus Pandemic.

In recent months, Tillicoultry-based 123v PLC has been commissioned to build walkway canopies at NHS Royal Surrey Hospital in Guildford, and Harefield Hospital.

The company, which specialises in building canopies, carports and verandas, has also been tasked with building canopies at a medical clinic in Stockport.

One of those canopies was required so patients and staff could transfer from a main hospital building to a coronavirus isolation ward.

And in general, all of the adaptations carried out by the firm have proved vital in allowing organisations such as the NHS to keep people safe as they move around during the pandemic.

Robin Marlin, the company founder, told the Advertiser: "To be able to help the NHS at a time when it's under a lot of strain feels very positive.

"It's just nice to be able to actually do something, rather than just sit back and give a few posts some likes on Facebook – if I can put it like that."

Robin founded the company with his wife in the 1990s, and added they were delighted to see it grow over the years.
