A MAN has died after being found in the water near Clackmannanshire Bridge today.

Emergency services were called to the scene at the Firth of Forth at around 1pm on Friday, November 6.

A police spokesperson said: "Police Scotland were called after reports of a man in the water at Clackmannanshire Bridge. 

“He was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital where he died a short time later.

"His next of kin have been informed. 

“A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal in due course."

The bridge was closed while emergency services attended, but has since reopened.
