A WOMAN denied a charge of assault and robbery at Alloa Sheriff Court last week.
The 47-year-old accused, from Sauchie, entered a plea of not guilty to the single charge on Thursday, November 5.
Court papers allege she committed the offence in the town on October 5 this year.
She is said to have assaulted a woman by seizing her clothing, pulling the item of clothing over the lady's head, repeatedly punching her on the head, seizing a sum of money from her then striking her on her head.
Solicitor Virgil Crawford, defending, asked for his client to be granted bail ahead of trial.
Sheriff Craig Harris allowed the accused to be released on bail, and asked for intermediate diet and trial dates to be fixed.
The case will call again for a procedural hearing in May 2021, with a trial set to take place in Alloa the following month.
