THE team at Cera Care in Alloa will be distributing Christmas dinners to some of the more isolated older people they care for in the area.
Local businesses have been helping the carers fundraise to make the day special for 60 local people.
Those who have helped so far include Smart Specs in Alloa, Westend Melts, Campbell's Shortbread Callander, Tunnocks, Miss United Kingdom Rose finalist Nicola Kirkpatrick, Coonty Candy in Alva, Alec MacDonald and Sons Haulage in Plean, All Scents Luxury in Grangemouth, and Treat Yourself Well with Shona Callander.
Susan McCormack, manager for the Clackmannanshire teams at Cera Care, said: "Because of the restrictions imposed on us by Covid-19 this Christmas, we are not able to host our annual Christmas party where we gather everyone together for a sociable Christmas meal, and enjoy carol singing from the local school children.
"Some of the people we care for have no family to support them, and we wanted to do something special this year, so we have made plans to create a Christmas dinner that can be reheated in their own homes, so they don't miss out this year.
"I want to thank all the local businesses who are helping us with this. We have been fundraising to cover the costs of the meals for some 60 local people.
"We have reached the £400 of our £500 target and we are hopeful that with the proceeds of our upcoming raffle, we will easily reach our target.
"I have to say a huge thank you to all the local businesses who have contributed prizes for this raffle."
