THE Press has joined the fight to try to reunite a sentimental piece of jewellery with its owner.

The wedding band was found in the car park of Aldi's Halbeath store back in July.

Zandra Crichton is hoping that with the help of Press readers, the ring can be returned to its rightful owner.

She said: "My colleague was the one that found the ring back in the summer and posted the lost item on Facebook but nothing happened.

"After several months, she remembered she still had the ring in her purse and asked if I would have a go myself.

"So I put a post up on Facebook and again there's been nothing.

"You can't really take lost and found to the police at the minute so we thought we'd give it one last go and get in touch with the Press as they can reach a huge amount of people in the community!"

The wedding band is two-tone in colour, both yellow and white gold.

It has the engraving 'PRISCILLA' on the inside and a date.

"I'd love to give it back to the person," Zandra said. "If I'd lost my wedding band I'd be devastated."
