IT WAS a special Hogmanay for one Dunfermline family thanks to the arrival of wee Jasmine, who was the third baby to be born in Fife in 2021.

Jasmine Marwick was due on Christmas Eve but decided to hang on a little longer, arriving on January 2, much to the delight of her parents!

She arrived at Victoria Hospital at 12.55am weighing 8lbs 11ozs and she is the third child of David and Annmaree Marwick, who own the Glen Bakery.

It was an usually quiet New Year at the maternity ward and just two babies were born on January 1 – baby Jasmine following soon after them.

Annmaree told the Press: "She was due on Christmas Eve but I didn't want her to come then as I didn't fancy spending Christmas Day in hospital!

"So it was very good she came when she did!

"It was so lovely being in the hospital on Hogmanay as the nurses were all celebrating. It was nice to be out of the house!

"I couldn't believe how empty the labour ward was too!"

Jasmine's two older brothers, who are approaching two and four, were also January babies!

And dad David celebrated his birthday on January 5 – a busy month for the family!

Annmaree added: "Jasmine is a very sleepy baby so I can't complain!

"Her two brothers are thrilled she's here so she doesn't get a minute's peace with them!

"Good luck to her growing up with two older brothers!"
