A TALENTED Dunfermline boy is singing a solo in a charity single released in the UK charts on Sunday.

Aaron MacGregor, 11, from Crossgates, takes a lead role in 'You Can’t Stop The Music', performed by Glasgow Philharmonic Orchestra's Kids Cast.

The youngsters have not performed since last February and their show, 'Movies to Musicals', has been cancelled yet again so to help raise money to provide opportunities for younger performers, the kids used their talents to record a song.

Rhienne McAllister, 13, from Dunfermline, will also feature on the record as part of the ensemble.

Both youngsters have been performing with the Kids Cast for the last couple of years after beating hundreds of children across Scotland in auditions.

Aaron's mum, Ashley, said: "They've been rehearsing away online but they've had to cancel this year's show for the time being.

"The conductor decided to do a charity single and asked a friend who wrote the song in just two hours!

"They've learned it all by themselves which is quite hard when you're little!

"Hopefully it will get on the charts because it is good enough!

"Aaron is very excited and it was so nice to hear him singing on the radio!

"It's kept the kids going when everything else has been cancelled for them."
