POLICE in West Fife have been called to more youth disorder.

More anti-social behaviour was reported in Rosyth on January 6 a week after officers fed-up dealing with youth disorder in Dalgety Bay told parents to "have some control".

Posting on the South West Fife Police Twitter account, officers stated: "Still getting calls about youth disorder. Anti-social behaviour isn’t acceptable at any time but here was us thinking there was a lockdown. Latest call to #Rosyth this evening for a group causing bother. Parents/guardians, the phrase 'stuck record' springs to mind."

Youngsters have been loitering and throwing objects at Dalgety Bay Primary, while officers have also been monitoring Donibristle Primary.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said previously: “We know that anti-social behaviour has a disruptive effect on local communities and we will act on any information we receive.

“We are aware of concerns raised by the community in the Dalgety Bay area and officers carry out regular patrols of highlighted areas.

“It is worth stressing that the vast majority of young people do not come to the attention of police.

“A small minority do sometimes become involved in anti-social behaviour and police will take appropriate action where incidents are reported and offenders identified.

“I would also urge parents and guardians to make sure that they know where their children are, who they are associating with and what they are doing.

“Anyone who has concerns about anti-social behaviour in their area is encouraged to contact police by calling 101 as promptly as possible.”
