The bridge is closed in both directions
THERE are major delays at the Kincardine Bridge after the Queensferry Crossing was closed due to the weather.
The Crossing is closed to traffic in both directions due to a risk of falling ice.
All traffic is being diverted via the A985 Kincardine Bridge and transport chiefs say the Forth Road Bridge should not be used as a diversion.
BEAR Scotland staff say they are monitoring conditions closely and will reopen the Queensferry Crossing as soon as it is safe to do so.
Motorists were reporting tailbacks all the way to Rosyth on the Fife side of the bridge.
