A WEE COUNTY supermarket has donated more than £300 to a Glasgow children's charity.

Morrisons in Alloa donated £311 to the Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity after raffling £1 tickets in the store for a chocolate hamper and an Easter bunny.

Jayne Lindfield, the store's community champion, chose the charity after it helped her son Callum when he was younger.

She said: "I'm delighted to raise money for them, it's a really good cause."

Kirsten Watson, chief executive at Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity, said: "We'd like to say a special thank you to the staff and shoppers from Morrisons in Alloa for their fantastic fundraising efforts."

"Patients come from all over the country to receive treatment at our special children's hospital in Glasgow and we are proud to stand by these patients, their families and the NHS heroes taking care of them during their most challenging times with our charity-funded projects and support services."
