WEE COUNTY kids made the most of their Easter break by visiting a local golf course to enhance their skills.

Braehead Golf Club hosted a Golf Coaching programme over the two-week Easter break, with over 30 kids taking part.

Sessions were held from Tuesday to Friday each week for two hours and were hosted by the resident Braehead PGA pro Ron Tickle ably assisted by Braehead junior convenor Lynn Parsler and volunteers.

The kids, aged between four and 12, were split into three groups and taught the basic skills of golf, taking part in some putting, chipping and driving lessons.

Despite the weather not being too kind during the first week, the determination of the youngsters was rewarded at the end of the week with an appearance by Dalmahoy PGA pro Scott Dixon.

Thankfully the second week had much more preferable weather with sun, no wind and even some sun cream required.

Some who enjoyed the first week so much even returned for another week of fun.

The club would like to thank Ron and Lynn for arranging the coaching and all the volunteers who helped out.
