A MAN has been arrested after an alleged hit-and-run incident.
Emergency services attended the scene on Spittal Terrace, near to Hamilton Road in Blantyre last month.
A 50-year-old man had been cycling along the street when a dark-coloured Vauxhall Insignia car allegedly struck him, causing him to fall off the bike.
The victim was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University hospital where was treated for serious injures.

His current condition is unknown.
A 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "A 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a road crash on Spittal Terrace, near to Hamilton Road, Blantyre, in which a 50-year-old male cyclist was seriously injured.
"The incident happened on Saturday, April 24.
"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
