ALVA GLEN will be enhanced as part of the latest round of funding from the EDF Burnfoot Hill Community Fund.

More than a dozen good causes in the Wee County are to receive a share of a combined £38,664 pot.

The money for the 14 community-led Clackmannanshire groups was announced recently, with the projects and groups – located all along the Hillfoots – selected by a volunteer panel of residents from the area.

Alva Glen Heritage Trust will receive a £4,144 grant to improve the area with sculptures, interpretation boards, planters as well as with a bike rack for visitors.

The trust will also use the funds for vital maintenance of paths, railings and bridges.

Claire Campbell, from Alva Glen Heritage Trust, said: "Alva Glen is a haven for people and wildlife.
