Dear Editor,

It has been great to see the Holyrood candidates express an interest in the ongoing Greenfield House and extending the passenger service on the Stirling/Alloa/Dunfermline railway line.

Maybe I am looking at things simplistically, but both issues could be resolved with some imagination, transparency and with banging heads together (albeit two metres apart).

We are proud of our efforts of the Alloa extension of the rail link and disabled access at Stirling and Alloa Community Council looks forward to hearing some meaningful communication with the ‘powers that be/powers that wannabe’ on these matters of importance to civic Alloa.

Yours,

Jason Lingiah (Rev) Chairman, Alloa Community Council

Councillor shows the way

Dear Editor,

I think that it’s fair to say that Bill Mason is well-regarded in Clacks.

He certainly seemed to be a man whose character was well-suited to Kilncraigs. Someone who was always keen to work together and not drive wedges between factions.

The same cannot be said for, certainly, some of the current crop of elected members. There is, clearly, one above all else who seems to determined to play games at every opportunity.

Those who read the council stories from the Alloa Advertiser will know full well who I am talking about.

I hope the legacy of Councillor Mason paves the way and that other elected members may reflect on how they conduct themselves in the name of their constituents.

Yours,
