Got your provisional results and don’t know what to do next?  Maybe you know you want to do a degree but not sure if you are ready for University yet, or maybe you want to do your degree a bit differently and get more hands-on practical experience.

If any of these apply to you, a partnership degree with Forth Valley College and the University of Stirling could be a great option, and the good news is - it’s not too late to apply through clearing!

Between the months of July and September, UCAS offers a clearing service to help students who haven’t yet secured a place at university.

Alloa and Hillfoots Advertiser:

Clearing is used each year by thousands of students to help them find a suitable university course.

Clearing can be very useful if:

·       You didn’t get the grades to secure your first choice course

·       You didn’t receive any offers

·       You have rejected all your offers

·       You applied after 30 June

Forth Valley College delivers four undergraduate degrees in partnership with the University of Stirling - all of which have spaces available through clearing

Courses on offer are:

·       BSc (Hons) Applied Biological Sciences

·       BSc (Hons) Software Development with Cyber Security

·       BA (Hons) Heritage and Tourism

·       BA (Hons) Digital Media

Alloa and Hillfoots Advertiser:

A partnership degree means you complete the first two years of your degree at FVC before moving on to years 3 and 4 at the University of Stirling campus.

Studying a degree this way allows students to study in smaller classes and benefit from simulated facilities and learning experiences such as labs, equipment, field trips and employer visits. It also means students can access both college and university facilities such as student accommodation, sports, clubs and societies, libraries and student support services.
