A FEMALE delivering a takeaway on New Year's Day was shouted at in a row about how much it should cost.
As a result, Ryan Barclay, of Schaw Court, Sauchie, appeared in the dock at Alloa Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on January 1 at Ochilview, Devonside, he shouted, swore, threw a food delivery on the floor and placed the worker in a state of fear and alarm.
Depute fiscal Susannah Hutchison said that at 8.45pm the delivery worker had taken the food to the house and Barclay answered the door.
The 36-year-old took the food and threw it down on the floor.
He was told the price for the order was £30 but he was trying to avoid paying, claiming it had arrived hours late.
Barclay was trying to close the door and shouting at the woman.
He eventually gave her £25 and when she refused to leave handed over the other £5.
The woman recorded the incident on her phone and Barclay called her "stupid", "an idiot" and "an a***-hole".
Defence solicitor Kelly Howe said her client became upset when the woman tried to take money out of his hand as he was counting it.
She added: "He's behaved very badly when intoxicated. He should have refused to take the order if he wasn't going to pay for it."
Sheriff Craig Harris imposed a restriction of liberty order for 45 days.
