A TULLIBODY man has been sentenced for drug dealing.

James Smith, 38, of St Serfs Road, appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court las Thursday.

He admitted that on February 25, last year, at his home he was concerned in the supply of diamorphine.

Defence solicitor Michael Lowrie said: “He’s had difficulties with drugs in the past.

"It’s accepted this was limited social supply. He was funding his own habit by supplying to friends.”

Sheriff Craig Harris told Smith that even low-level dealers cause others to become “trapped in drug dependency”.

He imposed a community payback order with 290 hours of unpaid work.
