AN Alloa woman obtained over £9000 through benefits fraud.
Tina Hutchison, 30, appeared for sentencing at Alloa Sheriff Court.
She admitted that between November 2, 2017 and May 31, 2018 at Mitchell Crescent, Alloa, she failed to inform the Department of Work and Pensions about a change of her circumstances and obtained £5721 in Income Support to which she was not entitled.
She also failed to inform Clackmannanshire Council and obtained £3328 in Housing Benefit to which she was not entitled between the same dates.
Defence solicitor Kelly Howe said her client had separated from her partner then they got back together and were living together.
She added that around £1770 had been paid back so far.
Sheriff Craig Harris imposed a community payback order with 215 hours of unpaid work.
