A SAUCHIE man who punched two police officers after a noise complaint was made about him has been jailed.

Sandy Paterson, 30, of Park Crescent, appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court on Thursday, October 14.

He admitted that on April 18 last year at his home he assaulted a police officer by punching him to the face.

He then assaulted another constable, also punching him on the face.

Depute fiscal Rachel Wallace said police had been contacted by a neighbour about loud music coming from Paterson's home.

When officers arrived there, Paterson began to act aggressively and punched one of them, knocking his glasses off. He then punched the second officer.

"What state was he in?" asked Sheriff Neil Bowie.

Defence solicitor Grazia Robertson said her client had been drinking.

The court heard Paterson is already on a community payback order, imposed shortly before this latest offence.

Sheriff Bowie jailed Paterson for 60 days.
