THE festive season has rolled into Kincardine at the weekend with an event exceeding all expectations.

Kincardine Community Council were blown away by the turnout on Sunday, November 28, when there was an amazing atmosphere with families smiling and getting into the festive spirit.

There was a Mini Christmas Fayre and Santa was there in his grotto to welcome children with gifts.

The grotto proved so popular Father Christmas decided to stay past his planned hours as he just could not turn young people away.

At the fayre, there were around half a dozen stalls including refreshments and a mini teacup ride while the stars of the show were the reindeer who delighted many.

Music was provided by the BB Band as well as Tulliallan Pipes and Drums.

Storm Arwen cleared just in time for the event, which raised £1,000 on the night along with donations from businesses in the area.

Residents in Kincardine can also look forward to stalls, raffles a tombola and more at a Christmas fayre to be held at Tulliallan Golf Club this Saturday, December 4, to support the festive lights and organisation of the switch-on event.
