AN ALLOA woman has been handed a jail sentence for drug dealing.

Shirley Couper, 50, of Kingswell Park, appeared in the dock at Alloa Sheriff Court.

She admitted that on June 15, last year, she was concerned in the supplying of diamorphine.

On the same day at Falkirk police station she was in possession of cocaine.

She also admitted that on November 20 she was in possession of diamorphine, etizolam and MDPV.

Depute fiscal Susannah Hutchison said police executed a search warrant at Couper's home and found the door was barricaded.

When they forced entry they found drugs, cash, two sets of scales, three mobile phones and a notebook with the names and numbers of customers.

In the later incident, police on patrol saw a woman being handed something through Couper's letter-box.

The woman was stopped and she said: "I just got it from Shirley. It's heroin."

Sheriff Neil Bowie noted that Couper had a previous conviction for drug dealing and jailed her for six months.
