A SAUCHIE UFO and paranormal researcher is set to appear on TV next month.

Malcolm Robinson, who has published a number of books on the subjects – including on the Sauchie Poltergeist, will be appearing on Craig Charles: UFO Conspiracies on Sky History in February.

The show, hosted by the former Red Dwarf star along with Sarah Cruddas, interviewed Malcolm about some of the more famous Scottish UFO sightings.

Malcolm told the Advertiser: “I was approached by Sky History to discuss some of Scotland's more interesting UFO sightings, such as the Dechmont Woods UFO Incident, the events over at Bonnybridge in Stirlingshire, and one or two other incidents as well.

“The interview itself was done over Zoom in my study in Sauchie and although I spoke for several minutes, you are always aware that some of what you say might end up on the cutting room floor.

“That said, it's always nice to have an opportunity to discuss these incredible cases."

While host Craig Charles is best known for his appearances in hit comedy sci-fi show Red Dwarf and soap opera Coronation Street, Malcolm explained he is in fact a big UFO fan.

It will not be the first time the Clacks man, who founded Strange Phenomena Investigations (SPI) in 1979, has appeared on TV screens across UK households.

Last year he was interviewed live twice by Sky News anchor Kay Burley regarding UFO footage recorded by US Navy jets from the USS Nimitz and USS Theodore Roosevelt – officially released by the Pentagon in 2020.

Malcolm has also previously worked with STV, BBC Reporting Scotland, Channel 5 and many more, including abroad.

Musing, Malcolm added: “I'll start to worry when these big TV shows stop calling me at home.”

The Clacks man has authored nine books over the years and is set to publish his next in a few months.

It will focus on what he explained was one of Scotland's biggest cases, the A70 UFO Incident.

Malcolm investigated the case after it was said to have taken place on the road between Edinburgh and Tarbrax in 1992.

Before the 10th book is published, audiences will be able to catch Malcolm on Craig Charles: UFO Conspiracies on Tuesday, February 8, at 9pm.
