A YOUNG driver sustained life-threatening injuries following a serious car crash in Forth Valley yesterday.

Officers were called out to the A883 Denny to Falkirk Road on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at around 7.40pm.

A white Vauxhall Corsa was said to be travelling east before leaving the road near Headswood Mill Farm.

Emergency services attended and the road was closed and reopened around 1am on Monday, February 14.

The 20-year-old man driver sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh where his condition is described as critical.

The front-seat passenger, a 33-year-old man, sustained serious, but not life-threatening injuries, and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where his condition is described as serious but stable.

The female rear seat passenger, 28, sustained minor injuries and was treated at Forth Valley Royal Hospital.

Sergeant David Ross said: "We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen what happened and also anyone with dash-cam that could assist with our investigation."
