THE legendary Slam Tent returns this year after six long years away

Slam Events and Edinburgh promoters FLY are joining forces to the end iconic brand's hiatus and kickstart the festival season.

Across one unmissable three-day May Day Bank Holiday Weekender, dance music fans will welcomed back once again to one of the biggest dance tents on the European festival circuit.

Organisers are thrilled to reveal the full line-up which will showcase sets from across the spectrum of electronic music inside the hallowed walls of the original Slam Tent.

Since its inception in 1997, and for 20 consecutive summers, the cave of rave was an undoubted highlight at T in the Park.

And with the infamous producer/DJ duo Slam, Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle, at the helm once again, the glory days are just around the corner.

The duo said: "We're so happy to be bringing our iconic Slam Tent to Hopetoun House over the May Day bank holiday weekend.

"We've invited some amazing international DJs as well as a host of incredible Scottish talent to join us in celebrating its return.

"It's been six years since the last one and we're looking forward to welcoming a new generation of Scotland's ravers and clubbers to enjoy this special and unique experience."

Some of the names included in the Slam Tent resurrection are Skream, Jasper James, Optimo, Len Faki, Gary Beck, Nightwave, Ellen Allien, Viper Diva, Liam Doc, Rebekah and more.

Slam will also deliver sets on both the Saturday and Sunday nights.

Tom Ketley, director of FLY, added: "We're delighted to be working with Scottish legends Slam in bringing back the Slam Tent.

"After a six-year hiatus, the return of such a cultural institution will be an awesome way to kick off the summer festival season and we could not be more excited in welcoming a huge lineup, brimming with so many great Scottish artists alongside an array of international acts."
