A CEREMONY was held in Alloa last week for the installation of a bench to mark World Polio Day.
The Key humanitarian priority of Rotary International is to rid the world of polio and The Rotary Club of Alloa gathered last Thursday, March 10, to untie the purple ribbons of the new bench in the Wimpy Park.
Pupils from St Mungo’s and Park primary schools, as well as Alloa Academy, came along to see the results of their flower planting back in October 2021.
The bench also features an interactive plaque with a QR code that shares information on funds raised each year in Clackmannanshire.
