AN ALLOA woman has been jailed after appearing at court for a string of offences.
The offences committed by Melissa Beresford, 22, of Katrine Court, ran from 2018 up to last year.
They include making a racist comment to a shop worker and threatening a neighbour with violence.
Beresford appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court by video-link from prison, after previously admitting a series of offences.
On December 23, 2018, at Pine Grove, Alloa, she engaged in fight with a male and committed a breach of the peace.
On May 24, 2020, at Alloa police station she was in possession of etizolam.
On October 21, 2020, at Asda, Whins Road, Alloa, she stole cosmetics, clothing and jewellery.
Also, on September 29, 2020, at Hiltonhawk Way, Alloa, she made a racist remark to Manbreet Singh and said she hoped he contracted Covid.
Last year, on August 17, she resisted police officers and having been told she was under arrest she ran away in an attempt to evade arrest.
Then, on October 12, also last year, at Katrine Court she acted aggressively, shouted, swore and challenged a woman to fight and repeatedly threatened her with violence.
Sheriff Neil Bowie jailed Beresford for 185 days.
