THREE Alloa entrepreneurs are looking to buck a trend and bring down the average of independent financial advisers in the UK.

The young but fully qualified trio behind Libertas Financial Management, based at Alloa Business Centre, are all in their early 30s.

Founders Andre Scotland, Jamie Auchinvole and Calum Scott are bucking a trend as the average age of an independent financial adviser in the UK is 58 – with many planning to retire in the coming years.

However, the trio, who already have more than 30 years of experience between them, are aiming to be there for clients on the long run, having formed the firm during the pandemic.

Relatively young in the industry, they previously worked together at a large national financial services firm, receiving some of the best training.

They left the corporate world at the end of 2020 to create a dynamic and forward-looking firm that offers clients a personal and unique service.

Part of the generation native to digital technologies, the trio are keen to use modern technology such as social media, online portals and apps to provide the best service to their clients.

Comfortable online communication is one aspect, but technology can also bring fresh transparency and up to date information to people keen to keep up with finances.

The company was authorised by the financial services regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority, at the end of October 2021 and Andre, Jamie and Calum are already starting to work with clients across Central Scotland.
