A DERELICT house went up in flames in a Wee County village last night.
Firefighters attended the scene in Muckhart Wednesday, June 8, night into Thursday, June 9, after a fire started in the roof space of a derelict building on the village's main stretch.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson told the Advertiser: “We were alerted at 11.35pm on Wednesday 8 June to reports of a fire within the roof space of a derelict building on the High Street, Muckhart, Clackmannanshire.
“Operations control immediately mobilised three appliances to the location and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire.
“Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
Police officers were in attendance to assist with traffic management, a spokesperson confirmed.
