PUREGYM is set to open in Alloa – with a handful of new jobs being created.

The 24/7 gym will be “opening soon” on Candleriggs in the town, right next to Screwfix.

It will be one of the company's "local format” gyms, designed to fit into smaller spaces but still providing all the equipment needed for a workout.

PureGym Alloa will be spread across 7,250sqft with a functional zone, free weights, fixed resistance and cardio equipment as well as a fitness studio for group classes.

Certified personal trainers will also be available to help clients and the company said it will be providing around 10 jobs in the area.

At the same time, the company is also set to refurbish its Stirling gym, which is spread across three floors at the Springbank Road Roundabout.

A spokesperson for the gym operators said: “We are very excited to be opening a new gym in Alloa and starting this significant refurbishment on our Stirling gym.

“PureGym is dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable fitness to the nation and we can’t wait for our new and existing members to visit the new gyms.

“Keep an eye out for joining offers for Alloa.”
