A CLACKS charity is hosting an open event next month to recruit more volunteers.
The Gate is looking for people who want to make a difference to the local community.
An open session will be held on Wednesday, July 6, at 3pm where staff and volunteers will be on hand to discuss their roles.
The Gate charity is based in the heart of Alloa and serves the Clackmannanshire community by offering practical help for positive change.
They run projects that help to provide vital service such as its foodbank, food larders and soup pot which ensure people have food available in times of crisis.
A Community Café is also hosted by the charity which is open for people to come along and enjoy a reasonably priced lunch and enjoy some company.
In conjunction with the housing services, the charity also provides Starter Packs and has a yearly school uniform bank where school uniforms are recycled and redistributed to families in need.
Clacks residents aged 65 and over can take advantage of Meals @ The Gate, the charity’s meal delivery service. There is also lunch clubs for elderly people.
All these projects rely on volunteers. Those who help at The Gate will meet new people, build confidence, have fun and feel part of a team
