AN AMATEUR Clacks musical company is set to run free workshops this summer.

Alloa Musical Players (AMP) is set to run a series of free Summer Energiser workshops after Covid put a stop to performances.

The workshops will go ahead at Hawkhill Community Centre every Sunday afternoon from July 3 until August 7 between 1.30pm and 3pm.

The sessions will focus on dance, drama and performance skills and are open to anyone aged 16 or above, no experience is necessary, people are welcome to come along and have a go.

The workshops come as AMP announced its show for 2023 in the Little Shop of Horrors with rehearsals starting on August 22 at 7.30pm at Alloa Rugby Club.

AMP is making a return some two and a half years since members were on stage at Alloa Town Hall to perform Chicago to sell out audiences.

The musical explored the corruption and crime-ridden era of 1920s Chicago while celebrating jazz music and dance.
