AN ELDERLY pedestrian has died following a crash in Alloa this week.
Officers are appealing for information and witnesses following the fatal crash on the town's Burgh Mews, which involved the 90-year-old female pedestrian and a van.
It happened around 4pm on Monday, July 18.
Emergency services attended and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The van left the scene prior to police arrival but was traced nearby a short time later.
The road was closed for around four hours to allow investigations to take place.
Sergeant Jack Swindells, Forth Valley Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who sadly lost her life.
“Our enquiries are ongoing and I would ask anyone who saw what happened, and has not yet spoken to officers, to come forward.
“Anyone with any information or dashcam footage which may assist is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 2366 of 18 July, 2022.”
