THE Friday Market will return to Alloa's this week, with residents reminded that the area will be closed to vehicles.

Organisers Alloa First confirmed that traffic will be restricted from entering High Street from 7.30am until 4.30pm, on Friday, August 5,  to allow for the safe set up and browsing of the market.

A spokesperson added: "We have a full market with some new traders as well as some of the old favourites selling a wide range of goods, craft and gifts, fashion, plants, food and more.

"We promote the market as being wheelchair, pushchair, pram, bike, child and dog friendly, so please make alternative arrangements for our pick-up and deliveries where possible.

"Your co-operation in helping make the High Street a pleasant and safe area for traders and pedestrians while the market is on is much appreciated.

"We would ask that you do not park in the loading bays overnight Thursday, so the market can be set quickly and efficiently on the Friday.

"Fingers crossed for dry weather and a busy day for all of us."
