Some flooding at Coalsnaughton Main Street was reported by Tideco volunteers
VOLUNTEERS in a Hillfoots town kept watch as heavy rainfall and thunderstorms caused flooding issues following the heatwave.
Tillicoultry, Devonside & Coalsnaughton Flood Group (Tideco) were out on Sunday night to monitor flooding hotspots.
There were some sewer flooding issues in Fir Park and Cunninghar Drive as the system supercharged, volunteers reported.
Some flooding in Coalsnaughton was also reported to the council, which it is understood was subsequently in attendance to assess drainage.
As the Advertiser went to print, Tideco kept an eye on the rainfall and will continue to do so tomorrow during a SEPA flood alert for the area.
