TULLIBODY residents can look forward to an evening full of entertainment for their annual Christmas tree light switch on event.

The Christmas tree will be lit up at Tron Court on Saturday, November 26, and Tullibody Events have booked a whole host of talent to make the night memorable.

Kicking off at 4.30pm, the event features musicians DC Thomas and Sarah Em and also includes performances from Alba Performing Arts School and Dualstar Dance Centre & HappyDays Performing Arts.

Once all the acts have finished playing, the Christmas tree will be lit up at 6pm.

Treasurer for Tullibody Events Michele Donegan says she is looking forward to hosting the evening after several years without crowds.

She said: "We've had the lights up every year but two years ago we couldn't have a crowd because of Covid and then last year there was terrible winds that meant it wasn't safe enough.

"This is the first year we've had a big event for it for a couple of years.

"We are very aware that over the past year thing have become increasingly difficult financially due to huge price hikes in fuel, gas and electricity.

"We would like to thank you and let you know we appreciate every penny that you donate to this great fund."

Tullibody Events consists of Michele, Ann Ferguson, Louise Whelan, Lynsey O'Mailley, Karen Forrester and Marissa Tobin.

They run several events through the year to raise funds for the Christmas tree switch on and are always looking for more members to join and help out.

The team are currently organising their big Christmas raffle with prizes for three winners.

Tickets can be purchased from messaging the team on the Tullibody Events Facebook page.
