SCOTRAIL has confirmed they will be offering a half price offer for students travelling this Christmas.
The 50 per cent discount will be in effect for all off-peak ScotRail tickets purchased between Monday, November 21, 2022 and Monday, January 9, 2023.
Students will have up to one month after the purchase date to use the return portion of their ticket – up to Wednesday February 8 for tickets purchased on January 9.
Students must provide valid student photo ID at the ticket office or to the on board conductor to purchase their ticket.
Lesley Kane, ScotRail commercial director, feels the discount will go a long way in helping students plan their Christmas.
“Our half price offer for Scottish students has proven really popular in the past, so we’re thrilled to be able to pass on the savings again – just in time for the Christmas holidays.
“Whether students are travelling home for the holidays, going on a night out, or heading into town for some shopping, our sleighed ticket prices will help them make the most of this special time of year.”
Tickets for super off-peak day returns are not affected by the discount.
