AN ALLOA man has been warned he could be facing a prison term after breaching his community payback order.

Steven Stewart, 30, of Ashley Terrace, appeared back at Alloa Sheriff Court.

He previously admitted that on December 30, 2020, at Dumyat Street, Alloa, he poured turpentine on a bed in a domestically aggravated offence.

He breached the community payback order imposed for the offence and it was revoked in October.

Defence solicitor Ruaridh Hood said his client suffered from mental health issues.

Sheriff Neil Bowie noted that Stewart has a previous conviction for stalking.

He continued the case until December 15 for Stewart to be assessed for suitability for Caledonian Programme for domestic offenders.

The sheriff told Stewart: "The question is between custody or whether you are given the opportunity of another order."
