The PEAK has been recognised at the recent Scottish Leisure Network Group awards.

Base at Stirling Sports Village, The Peak – which is the closest public pool for Wee County residents – has been awarded Facility of the Year 2022 after at the annual prize-giving.

The awards ceremony, which took place in Grangemouth on Thursday, November 17, saw the state-of-the-art centre lift gold.

Working with Active Stirling, the PEAK offers an all-inclusive £25 membership which includes unlimited access to over 130 weekly fitness classes.

The gym has also launched initiatives such as Women and Girls in Sports and Bikes Without Barriers which is an adapted cycling programmes for those with disabilities.

Matt Bunnell, Active Stirling’s director of operations, said he was thrilled to see the PEAK receive the prestigious award.

He said: “We are delighted that the PEAK has been recognised for Facility of the Year 2022.

“The facility, community and support teams across Active Stirling have worked tirelessly over the past year under exceedingly difficult circumstances through the pandemic.

“They’ve worked to achieve uninterrupted provision whilst also creating transformational opportunities to improve people’s lives through using sport.”

The PEAK has been Clackmannanshire’s closest swimming pool since Alloa’s Leisure Bowl closed early in 2021.
