ALLOA Town Hall will play host to the Clackmannan District Brass Band as they put on their annual Christmas show.

The event will be held on Sunday, December 11 at 6pm and will feature the three Clackmannan bands putting on a spectacular performance.

Hosted by Susan Chown, the night will be opened by the senior band, followed by the beginner’s band and then the youth development team.

Following an interval, the adult band will play again before a grandstand finale of all three bands playing at once to close the show.

Debbie Wark, brass player at Clackmannan senior band, says it will be great to get back to normality after a couple years of restrictions.

She said: “Susan’s on compere duties this year which makes such a difference in getting audience participation and getting the crowd going.

“All three bands in the organisation are really looking forward to it.

“We’re really trying to put the worries of Covid behind us and we’re looking forward to a bit of freedom and getting back to normal.

“We’ve considered the cost of living crisis as well so we’ve tried to keep our tickets as cheap as possible for our guests.”

Guests will be treated to a pre-show performance from the community ensemble band, who will be entertaining audiences as they arrive.

Tickets will cost £8 for adults and £5 for concessions. There will also be a family ticket on sale for £20 which covers 2 adult and 2 concessions or 1 adult and 3 concessions.

Tickets are available to buy from band members or on the door.
