CLACKS residents are being invited to the Speirs Centre this month to share their memories over a cuppa.
The next Memories Scotland Reminiscence Group session will take place on Thursday, February 9, from 2pm at the mezzanine of the library.
It comes after a well-received launch session in December with people invited to join the group, share memories of their working life while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee.
The sessions are part of the Memories Scotland project, which started in 2019 but was delayed by the pandemic.
Supported by the Scottish Government, the country-wide project seeks to connect heritage resources with reminiscence activity in what has been the latest iteration.
Initially, the project launched as Football Memories in 2009 in an innovative partnership between Alzheimer Scotland, the Scottish Football Museum and members of the Scottish Football Heritage Network.
With the addition of wider social history resources on themes of working life and social life, Memories Scotland is seeking to engage audiences with an expanded collection, thanks to a partnership with Scottish libraries.
Call 01259 452262 to book a space for the upcoming session.
